She has led an 'introduction to Islamic Art' workshop at a local Islamic community and has visited local Islamic schools where she had a chance to share her passion with young children.
Being a mother of two, Shazia likes to spend her limited spare time to focus on creating art pieces that bring her a sense of peace and serenity from the hustle bustle of modern life. She is a deeply passionate artist who takes inspiration from her travels to Andalucia, Morocco and Istanbul where she was influenced by the complexity and intricacy of the traditional Islamic patterns as seen on the architecture. Her art is a blend of vivid colour, repetitive patterns, fine brush strokes and calligraphy which aims to bring a fleeting moment of reflection and remembrance of the Divine.
